♠ Q: What is a zine?
A: A zine is a limited-run self-publication run by an individual or small group centered around a theme or topic - usually in the form of a book or booklet. The contents of a zine can vary between project to project, but are usually a collection of art pieces, written works, and can even include merchandise.
Read more about zines here.♥ Q: What is the financial nature of this zine?
A: As the goal for the zine is to be physical, we are looking to have it be for profit.♦ Q: Will this be a physical or digital zine?
A: We aim to have both a physical and digital zine, paired with physical merchandise and a digital side bundle.♣ Q: What are the contents of the zine?
A: There will be full spread and page illustrations, alongside written works that are accompanied by art pieces.♠ Q: How old does someone have to be to apply to be a contributor?
A: Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time contributor applications begin.♥ Q: How many contributors will you be accepting?
A: Depends on the interest check and how many people apply to the zine but an estimate would be around 25-30 artists, 5-7 merch artists, and 3-5 writers. The final number is subject to change.♦ Q: How will contributors be compensated?
A: We would love to offer contributors free copies of the zine book, merch, and money from the profits as compensation. Of course this all depends on the sales of the zine and whether we break even or not. If we aren't able to cover costs, we will offer contributors the option to order the merch at production price.♣ Q: Will the zine feature any other characters or will it just be Kokichi?
A: The zine will feature all v3 characters, including DICE.♠ Q: Are ships allowed?
A: Contributors are allowed to make content with Kokichi interacting with other characters, but we will not be allowing ships within the zine. We will also be limiting character appearance so there will not be too many pages featuring Kokichi interacting with the same character.♥ Q: Will this zine be beginner friendly?
A: Anyone is able to apply even if they don't have any zine experience. We are looking out for certain things in the works submitted. More information can be found under our guidelines.♦ Q: Will this zine feature guest creators?
Yes, we are planning to have 2-3 page artists, 1 merch artist, and 1 writer as our guests.♣ Q: Can I apply for multiple roles?
A: Yes, you may apply for multiple roles, however, you will only be accepted for one role.♠ Q: Where will the zine be shipping from?
Our shipping mod resides in the US.

General Guidelines
— All works must be completely original. The use of AI, copying from others without credit or using your previous works, is not allowed in any part of this project unless stated otherwise.
— Please try to send updates regularly even if you don't want to follow our schedule instead of finishing an entire piece in one go without waiting for feedback, so that it is easier to fix errors or work on feedback provided by mods. We want this zine to be a place for contributors to grow, so we encourage you to ask for, accept or even give feedback to others!
— Do not share any content from this zine outside of the server without the permission of the head mod, as to not spoil the zine. This includes WIPs, previews, and snippets. If you wish to put your piece in a portfolio, please contact the head mod and wait for their approval.
— If you can not make it to a deadline, please notify one of the mods ASAP, so that we can grant you an extension. If a contributor fails to submit their check in on time without asking for an extension for the second time, they will be kicked out of the zine.
— If you wish to leave this zine, please contact the head mod. Again, we will not include your work without your permission.
— This will hopefully be a physical for profit zine and as such, contributors will be compensated. This all depends on the interest check and the sales during preorders. We at least would like to offer contributors the option to order items at production cost. If all goes well, we will offer items for free.
— If you aren't able to order during preorders, we will have leftovers open as well once all the preorders have been shipped out.
♠ Contributor Guidelines
— Contributors must be 16 or older to apply.
— If you have any of the mods blocked, you will be automatically rejected.
— Contributors are allowed to apply for any position, however, you will only be accepted for one role.
— Examples of artwork and writing pieces must be completely finished when you submit your work.
— At least one of your examples must contain Kokichi in the work. For artists, this is to understand how they look in your style; for writers, this is to get a feel for your characterization. Submissions that do not fit this guideline will be automatically rejected.
— Please make sure all links for samples and portfolios work and are publicly accessible before submitting your work or else you will not be considered for the position.
— Portfolios are required and can be a social media account, an Ao3 account, or a Google Drive collection. If you use Google Drive, please make sure you share it so anyone who has the link is able to view.
— Please include at most 10 of your best work in the portfolio.
— We will not be accepting plagiarized or AI works.
♥ Page Artists
— Submit three completed samples showcasing the style you would use in the zine.
— At least one piece must have a fully complete background.
— At least one piece must have full body art.
— Digital and traditional pieces are accepted for the application process, but the artist is expected to have a way to upload the final piece digitally and clearly.
♦ Merch Artists
— Submit three completed works showcasing the style you would use in the zine.
— Applicants can choose what type of merch they would like to make for the zine. Please be open to doing multiple merch types so we can ensure a diverse range of merch outside of keychains and stickers.
♣ Writers
— Submit three works (note: they will be judged as complete and final drafts)
— You may link a portfolio, but the pieces you submit will be the ones taken most into consideration for your application
— As the piece you will be asked to write, should you be accepted, will be around 2000 words, it is strongly recommended that your samples be around this length. Along these lines, it is also recommended that at least one of your works be a one-shot.
— While technically a word limit for submissions does not exist, please be courteous and keep in mind the mods’ time/sanity. If a piece is longer than 10k words, we will not read the rest of it.
